Which Ingredients Exist In Asian Cuisine?

If you're going to prepare Asian cuisine, it's important to know the basics at the onset. Specifically, you should be mindful of the many different ingredients which exist in this field, seeing as how they are quite unique. As you look from one entree to the next, however, you'll start to see just how common they are. For those who are looking to expand their culinary knowledge as much as possible, here are a few key ingredients you should be mindful of.

Rice - If you're going to talk about Asian cuisine, as a whole, it would be a mistake to overlook this ingredient. Rice is common, which goes without saying, and it can be paired off with a number of meats as well. Everything from chicken to pork works well with this ingredient, and it can be cooked in numerous styles as well. In addition, any online marketing company can attest to the fact that it's easy to come by. Once you're able to present this seemingly simple dish, others will taste it and see just how much it adds to any meal.

Cilantro - This is an interesting case, since cilantro is not taken by everyone the same way that rice is. Of course, there are many people who absolutely adore this herb, and cannot imagine their rice without it. There are those who are less enthusiastic about it, though, and take it upon themselves to keep it as far away from their culinary endeavors as possible. Don't be afraid to use more or less of this ingredient, as you'd like, since you can make effective Asian dishes all the same.

Soy Sauce - The main reason why soy sauce is added, to many different Asian meals, is due to increased taste. For example, many people dislike salt due to health reasons, since they may find it to be too loaded with sodium. Soy sauce, by comparison, has less to account for and many people enjoy the unique taste it possesses as well. For those who would like to make their rice stand out more, this is one ingredient for graduates across culinary schools not to overlook.

Noodles - When it comes to alternatives to rice, you may want to consider noodles. There are numerous types that are used in Asian cooking, and it's clear that there are some which are more prominent than others. A few of the ways that these can be created include - but are not limited to - salad and lo mein. You can put as much effort into these as you would like, but the fact remains that they are quite prominent in terms of overall Asian cuisine.
